This is an excellent and fast scanner, and produces very good quality results. I am serious amateur photographer who shoots a lot of 35mm film, and this scanner does an excellent job of scanning slides and negative strip film. It also does a great job of scanning prints. If you are scanning lots of old holiday slides, and just want to get reasonable quality digital images quickly, then one of the cheaper slide scanners might be easier to use. This scanner will be aimed at serious amateurs and professionals, and hits that mark perfectly in my opinion.

What I loved about Lens is that you can have the scanned images saved to your phone’s gallery. It also lets you save the images to OneNote, Word, OneDrive, or as a PDF file.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t answer your question about how it would work for scanning images directly into TVPaint. Hopefully someone from TVPaint support can step in here and discuss recommended scanners or scanner driver specifications . However, for speed I can recommend the high-end Fujitsu ADF scanners such as Fujitsu fi-4750C .
To try out Apple’s built-in scanner for yourself, open Notes. Inside of any note, hit the + symbol above the keyboard. The menu that comes up will offer a few options — this is also the tool you’d use to add a photo or sketch to your note — but the “Scan Document” option is the one you want.
